Plaxtol Youth Group re-starting January 2016!

Where?  Plaxtol Memorial Hall

When?  First session is Friday January 29th

What time?  7 – 9 p.m.

Who for? All 10 – 14 year-olds

How much?  £5 per person per session (monthly)

Q1:  Do you find January cold, dark and boring once the

 excitement of Christmas is over?

Q2: Are you aged between 10 and 14?

If you answered ‘Yes’ to these questions, then I’m very happy to

invite you to the all-new Plaxtol Youth Group – or PYG! Starting

this January, PYG will meet for a few hours (7-9pm) once a month,

usually on a Friday. This is your group and you have an important

say in what you’d like to gain from being a PYG member.

My name is Ed Wright and I’ve been working with young people

in the theatre, in schools, workshops and parties for the past 5 years.

Although I’ll be leading the Youth Group – I want you to help decide

what you want to do; whether it’s making a Podcast, starting a band,

learning new skills or just hanging out with old and new friends.

There will be no pressure in PYG. There’ll be a lot of games, music,

conversation, sharing, creativity and especially laughter. I have

plenty of activities planned and would love to hear all of your ideas.

The first PYG meeting will be on Friday 29th January 2016 and I really

look forward to meeting you there!

PYG is organised on a voluntary basis by a group of local parents.  There will always be two of us there at every session as well as Ed, our Youth Group leader.  We’ll help with signing young people in and out, serving refreshments and generally overseeing events.   We value your support and welcome any questions you might have.
